Chicago’s got boxing in its blood and there’s definitely been a lot of red on the canvas over the years in this Midwestern metropolis. Fight fans in Chi-town come to see it for the guts more than the glory, because they appreciate fighters who get their hands dirty. And although the glitter and glam has fled to the Nevada desert or to the coasts, the fight game is still bleeding and swinging in this city of ours.

Even though you won’t see these cards on HBO, Showtime, or pay-per-view, you can’t help but find a hard-hitting match or three to get the blood pumping. If you’re not ringside at a Bobby Hitz rumble at the Ramada or a bash-fest at the Belvedere, then Dominic Pesoli’s 8 Count Productions is bringing the butt-kickings at the Aragon or puttin’ on the hits at Hawthorne Race Course. And there are many other shows in town that get you so close to the action, you almost feel the sting of leather on skin for yourself! In Chicago Fighting Arts Magazine’s Fight Gallery, you can see these can’t-miss battles in living, vivid color. So, take a look and keep your chin down—we’re bringing the best in Chicago boxing that’ll knock you out and leave you panting for more. Enjoy!

Chicago Fighting Arts Magazine is always on the lookout for more photos for our Fight Gallery. We encourage our readers to tell us about their favorite boxing events they’d like us to highlight, so we can get them into our pages. If you’re a photographer who wants to display your best images of action in the squared circle, we’re thrilled to have you take a swing at it.
